In July, Total and the Confederation of African Football, or CAF, embarked on a great adventure together!

With the signature of a partnership agreement, Total became the official sponsor of African football for the next eight years.

This agreement makes Total the official title sponsor of ten CAF competitions, starting with the main event on the continent: the ACN, now known as the "Total Africa Cup of Nations".  This tournament, which has appeal well beyond the continent's borders, will be held in Gabon from 14 January to 5 February 2017, exciting crowds and marking the first milestone in the new partnership.

Total will also be associated with prestigious competitions like the African Champions League, the African Nations Championship, better known as CHAN (a tournament for players playing in local leagues) and the Africa Women Cup of Nations.

Total is delighted to strengthen its ties with Africa through a popular and celebratory sport which stirs great passions, including in the Group's in-house teams. Football is a universal language synonymous with friendliness, enthusiasm, solidarity and, of course, energy.

And to rightly celebrate this passion and fervour, Total has decided to bring you "Football Together". A forum for fans of the sport, in particular as it is played in Africa, the Total Football Together website will cover the news making headlines in African football, at home and abroad. Articles, games, results: Football Together will reflect with enthusiasm and originality everything that is attractive about football in Africa. The Total Africa Cup of Nations kicks off in less than a month, so come backstage with us at the 31st edition of the continent's biggest competition.
